Cocoa Hazelnut Chickpea Spread


Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Hazelnuts
  • 1 Cup Canned Chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Cocoa Elite Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/3 Cup Olive Oil or Coconut Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Strawberries, Apple wedges, Orange wedges, Pretzels or Graham Crackers for dipping
Instructions:
  • In a food processor, pulse the hazelnuts until they form a fine meal
  • Add chickpeas and process until combined
  • Add the Coconut sugar, cocoa powder, oil, vanilla and 1/4 cup water
  • Process until the consistency is smooth
Serve with fruit of your choice, pretzels or graham crackers. You can also try other nuts such as pecan, walnut and almonds. Even try using one of the many great protein powders from Cocoa Elite. Challenge your creativity.
